MacConkey II Agar is a selective differentiation medium for the isolation and differentiation of Enterobacterales and various other gram-negative rods. Columbia CNA Agar with 5% sheep blood is a selective medium for the isolation of gram-positive microorganisms from a variety of clinical and non-clinical materials. When selecting the media, it should always be taken into account that gram-negative or gram-positive bacteria are also present due to certain resistances can show atypical growth behavior. To isolate and differentiate fungi/yeasts, we recommend separate cultivation on e.g. Sabouraud G/C and differentiation using Candifast®. We also offer training in microbiology.
