Shortly before ovulation, the body produces a large amount of luteinizing hormone (LH), which triggers the release of the maturing egg cell from the ovaries. This LH surge usually occurs in the middle of the menstrual cycle. This LH ovulation test helps determine ovulation and fertile days. During these fertile days, it is most likely to become pregnant. The LH surge is detected in the urine. It signals that ovulation will occur within the next 24 - 36 hours. The test uses a combination of antibodies, including a monoclonal LH antibody, to selectively detect elevated LH levels. Scope of delivery: 7 test strips with desiccant pads sealed in foil.
