The tips are 50mm in length and are not graduated. They have been manufactured from high-quality, non-cytotoxic, radiation-stabilised, medical-grade virgin polypropylene. The resin is pre-tested to establish if there are any extractables that interfere with PCR or DNA. Resins with a high level of extractables in the 240nm to 320nm range are excluded from production. These tips offer versatility, as they are compatible with a range of major brand pipettors. The wide sealing area ensures a secure fit with the pipettor, whilst the bevelled end retains less fluid, making them a good choice for a variety of procedures. Each batch of tips is tested and certified RNase, DNase, DNA and endotoxin\/pyrogen free. Where the product is marked sterile, sterilisation is by gamma irradiation. The sterilisation process follows the ISO 11137 method for sterility. The tips may also be autoclaved at 122°C for 20 minutes at 15 psi.
