For a pipette tip to perform at its best, it must have an excellent fit on the pipette's tip cone. Made from 100% virgin polypropylene, these tips are precision molded using state-of-the-art molds and molding processes for an airtight fit, preserving non-wetting in the final product. No mold release agents are used in the manufacturing of these pipette tips, as these chemicals can compromise precious samples and valuable results. Pipette tips (excluding filter tips unless otherwise stated) and racks can be autoclaved at a recommended temperature of 120 °C at 15 PSI for 15 minutes. All sterile products are irradiated with electron beams, which are less damaging to plastics than gamma irradiation and do not leave any of the toxic residues sometimes associated with gas sterilization. Only the highest quality resins are used in the manufacture of these tips. All tips are certified free of RNase and DNase. Sterile tips are also certified free of DNA, pyrogens, and ATP.
