The tubes and caps are made from the same material and have the same coefficients of expansion to ensure uniform expansion and contraction rates during temperature changes. The tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000 xg and are suitable for use in a temperature range from -196 °C to 121 °C, making them suitable for boiling applications and frozen sample storage.
